It started with an impulse I still can't fully explain. One December morning, I was walking past an art supplies store — and something pulled me in. I bought my first canvas, my first set of paints, and carried them home like a secret. That was over ten years ago. I haven't put down a brush since.

I was 35 at the time. An engineer by training, a family man, building a career that had nothing to do with art. But painting opened something in me that I'd been carrying my whole life — a fascination with light, with nature, with the way a single moment can hold so much beauty that you want to stop time.

I'm entirely self-taught. I learned from books, from studying masters, from painting the same scene fifty times until I understood what the light was doing. Oil on canvas became my medium because nothing else gives me the depth and warmth I'm after — the way oil lets you build layers of luminosity until a painting almost breathes.

What I paint is what I see: Ukrainian landscapes in winter stillness, rivers catching the last light of day, the face of someone you love. My goal is always the same — to make you feel like you're there. Standing in the cold. Feeling the warmth. Hearing the quiet.

Today my paintings hang in private collections across twelve countries, from Ukraine to the United States, France, Germany, and beyond. Every one is an original — hand-painted, one of a kind, made to be lived with for a lifetime.

When I'm not in my studio, I'm with my wife and sons, fishing on the river, or working in my orchard. The things I love to paint are the things I love to live.
