Rainy Day
I was inspired to paint this after a walk through the forest right after a summer shower. A wet dirt road runs straight through a planted forest of tall, slender trees, a large rain puddle reflecting the trunks in the foreground. The air was so fresh, and the light filtering through the wet leaves created this incredible, peaceful quiet. I wanted to capture that exact feeling, the calm that settles over everything after the rain.
